Patient Turning Device Revolutionising Pressure Care

Posted on by admin

Bedridden patients and those suffering with severe mobility problems require consistent and regular pressure care to reduce the risk of pressure sores and ulcers developing. If you’re a nurse, carer or loved one caring for a bedridden friend or relative, you’ll understand how painful and persistently uncomfortable pressure sores can be.

Here at Genie Care we are passionate about improving the quality of care available for bedridden patients and as a result, we have developed our revolutionary patient turning device, the ToTo.

How Does the ToTo Work?

The ToTo is designed to gently turn the patient at regular intervals throughout both the day and the night.

Each turn is very gentle to ensure that the patient is not disturbed during the night and experiences no discomfort in the day; as well as this, the frequency of the turn can be varied from 15 minhtues to 2 hours.  While manual turning achieves the required result, patients are continuously disturbed and will rarely receive a full, peaceful night’s sleep.

At Genie Care we understand how important it is for patients to receive regular turning and that through human error or understaffing, manual turning can be missed. The ToTo, however, can be programmed to turn every two hours.

Nurses or carers have additional free time to complete other important tasks, while patients are guaranteed to receive the necessary care.

The ToTo will fits to any bed underneath the mattress which makes it ideal for use in a home or hospital setting.

What Other Equipment Is Available?
